THIS PARTICULAR COIN: This is a very rare Widow's Mite Lead Lepton from Jerusalem. It is a prized possession for Bible historians, Christians and numismatics collectors for coins dating back to the Biblical times.
This is an awesome lead 6 point star token. This lead coin/token is from the time of Alexander Jannaeus, King and High Priest of Judea. It was most likely minted shortly after the Judean civil war between the scribes and pharisees. (See David Hendin's Guide to Biblical Coins book for more details).
This coin/token weights 0.7 grams and measures 11mm x 7 mm. As typical with most lead mites, only one side bears an image, the reverse is usually blank.
